God has all control in His hands, and is in all things the most competent. He makes the clouds follow a course in the sky, and drop their water on the land, and the seeds sprout, and green cover what was once barren. But this is done according to natural laws. And we are stewards of this world. And our actions have consequences when we mess with things which were working fine when we got there. This is a method of helping water to sink into the ground so that it can be used by plants and trees and raise the water levels in aquifers which I saw in my visions.
In hilly lands, make a stone terrace, and dig a hole straight down on the upslope side. Make it at least 3-4 feet deep. line it with unmortared stones so that it doesn't collapse, and raise the mouth of the hole so that it is at least 6 inches above grade. And when it rains, sediments won't fill it up completely, and it will fill with water, and allow it time to soak into the ground. Cap it with a flat stone.
On more flat ground, where there is an arroyo or wadi, dig a canal which is at least 2 feet deep so that when there is a flood, water will fill the canal. In the canal, do as before but make it the depth of the height of a man. And because the water is moving quickly, it will carry more sediment, so the top of the water sink should be at least a foot above grade.
If you wish to improve a pasture in a drier prairie which is not a desert, then about a foot apart, drill holes and drive in wooden poles so that the tops are below grade. The longer the better. They should be about equally spaced. Including the bark is good. The posts should be oriented the way the tree grew if you can discern it. They will draw up water from deeper in the ground, and as they decay, they behave like sponges. And they also assist in preventing erosion and give the excess nitrogen in the soil from manure some carbon to latch onto to prevent excessive runoff. Although not practical for large areas, it will help in small areas for spot treatment of grasses not growing.
